SEA-TEACHER BATCH 5 2018
Hello, my name is Noorina Nyesti Rahmawati. Also
known as Noorina. This is my first time to go abroad and my heart beaten fast
everyday also excited at the same time. I’m able to follow SEA-Teacher 5 Batch
it is because of Allah SWT, All lecturers in Islamic University of Indonesia
Faculty of English Education Department, My Parents, My Brothers, My Cousin and
all my friends who are always encourage me to do the best.
Based on the SEAMEO seven priority areas for the eleven SEAMEO Member countries to work together to improve the quality of education in Southeast Asia, “Revitalizing Teacher Education” is one of the priority areas in building and strengthening capacity of teachers in the region.

Today, I will go flight with my friends who are from
Islamic University of Indonesia. There are Fakhri and Nafis from Faculty of
Islamic Science teach Economics also Bella and Ida who are from Faculty of Mathematic
and Natural Science teach Chemistry then from Yogyakarta State University there
are Hanik teach Pre-school, Naya teach Math and Dian Economics. The ticket
flight from Yogyakarta to Jakarta first at 01.00 p.m - 02.05 p.m. My mother and my three
cousin come to accompany me before the flight. Our suitcase put in the trolley
and just push it. Before we flight we have to put our suitcase and others to
the X-Ray. Our suitcase bring to the pair of scales and show their ticket.
After that we go the other X-Ray again, our gadget should be move to our bag
and sharp thing are not allowed to put in our bag it should be in the suitcase.
Honestly, this is my first flight and my first time
at the airport so at the airport I just following my friends at the backside
what they do. It no need a long wait, in
one hour we arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. When we
arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport we wait for the bus which is we
ride that bus to get our suitcase. We stay at Rama’s house for 1 day and after that
we will flight at 11.30.
Today, I'm observe grade 7 hydrogen at 10.00 a.m, grade 7 helium at 11.00 am and grade 10 at 2.00 p.m. For grade 7 hydrogen and grade 7 helium, they have an exam.
For grade 10 they have their topic unfortunately I
forgot the topic. However, they are excited to play a game in the process of
learning. The students are active, they are always move to friends chair when the teacher explain and able to to answer teachers questions.

I'm observe grade 7 hydrogen at 10.00 a.m,
grade 7 helium at 11.00 am and grade 10 at 2.00 p.m. Today's topic is relax activity, so they are playing a game. They aranged the letter until become a word. Also for grade 10 they are playing a game.
Today's topic for grade 7 is Descriptive text is about centipede.
Today we move from our dorm to Indonesia Embassy (Kedutaan Besar
Republik Indonesia) at Manila but first we have our breakfast as our lunch also
at City Mall. Some of us eat chicken at Mang Inasal and some of us eat at
Jolibee.
Our activity today is going to Mall of Asia (MOA).
We go to KULTURA the souvenirs center. I’m not buy as much as I want, I’m just
buy neck-pillow.
Around 5 a.m Indy, Winda and Ake have to go back in Indonesia because they already buy airline ticket for this day. There are tears fall from us, we don't say "goodbye" but we say "see you again".

We planned to flight from Jakarta to Manila at 11.30
a.m - 04.45 p.m. In our trip there are other delegates who are come with us they
are Rama and Alfian. They are from Islamic University of Indonesia also.
Unfortunately, i’m not remember their faculty and subject. Also Humai who are
from Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, she taught science.
When we all together touchdown to the Manila Airport
while we wait for the fetch, we buy Philippines simcard. I bought the simcard
for 600 peso it’s for 30 days, free facebook, whatsapp, instagram, others
social media and able to texting for 2 week. I buy it in case if in Indonesia
want to know about my condition here immediately. We are looking for the musola
because we have to pray

When we arrived, we wudhu at wastafel. Alhamdulillah,
we meet Philippines muslimah her name is Khadijah, I’m speechles about it. She
want to we call her Khadz. We ask her about shalat time in here, halal food and
ask her phone number. I’m with SEATEACHER from Yogyakarta State University (UNY)
and Dinda who are from Lambung Amangkurat University (LAU), Banjarmasin take a
pictures with her.
When we arrived at NAIA Airport we meet two SEATEACHER
delegates from Philippines which is they want to go to Thailand. So we all take
a picture with them. Unfortunately, I’m forgot their names.

We arrived at Bayambang arround 5 a.m because it a
bit far from Manila to Bayambang. Because of the dorm are use for other
teachers so we have to stay at office alumni center. It is hot inside but there
are a lot of fan. The facilitation are quite complete. There are two double
bed-room in each room and many bed. There are dispenser, cooker, refrigerator
and mattress. Also there are two bathroom, so we can use it for two delegates
in the different room. We enjoyed our time here and relax. In the day we go to
the market and eat our lunch. We lunch at McDonald.
We eat our dinner with mam’s Aida food with SEA-TEACHER girls.
Monday, 22th January 2018
Today we are going to the main campus PSU in
Lingayen. It take a long time to go here, arround 5 hour. When we go here, we
see the beach and some of us take a video and picture of it. When we arrived at
PSU main campus, we attend welcoming ceremony some of us using our traditional
costumes some of us using batik.
We walk around inside - outside the campus with mam
Sally and others staff, take a pictures with SEA-TEACHER and SEA-TVET from
Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
From Islamic University of Indonesia we have our
token which is give it to Dr. Dexter Buted as PSU President.
Tuesday, 23th January 2018
We are all together go to school, we observe the
school and we have to attend in the school for preparing our teaching practice
here. All SEA-TEACHER delegates and me are come to the school to met with mam
Agnes, she is our mentor of how many teaching practice that we should do and
what class we are going to teach.
Mam Agnes give us the schedule, I should have teach
15 times in a week. Gasp! I have a lot teaching practice! Is it because I’m the
only one englih teacher?. I think I have to tell my supervisors to reduce my
teaching practice.
After that we are going to the library, there are
many teachers stay at here. Mam Agnes let us to come in and seat. A few minutes
later, mam Agnes call our name one by one. The first name that she call is from
my Islamic Iniversity of Indonesia and it is my University. My heart beaten so
fast when I walk in the front of PSU Teachers. What should I say there?. But I
didn’t say anything because we just stand up and smile while PSU teachers saw
us and hear mam Agnes explanation.

Today, I'm go to CSI with Bella, Hanik, Ira, Windy, Winda, Nia, Indy, Dinda, Cesar and Macky. We ride a threecycle (look like "Becak" in Indonesia), if we ride threecycle for one people we have to pay PHP 10 around IDR 3000. When we finished our shopping at CSI we ride Jeepnee (look like "Angkot" in Indonesia) for one people we have to pay PHP 8 around IDR 2400 to go back to the resort. But before that we visited Bayambang park and we take a picture together.
Today's teaching practice i'm not using powerpoint slide because there is no dlp. So I use chalk to teach. I write the task and the assignment in a chalkboard. Sometimes, I cough with the chalk so I close my mouth and nose when I erase thewords in chalkboard.
Actually I don't have teaching practice today but I have to give the students a quiz to grade 7 hydrogen and 7 helium because mam Mae Anne have to check up schedule. After they finished their quiz, I have to check the answer in the dorm. In the night time, I check their answer in the dorm. This is the first time if it the answer right or false the sign is the opposite in Indonesia. While, in Indonesia sign of right in Indonesia means false in Philippines and sign of false in Indonesia means right in Philippines.
Tuesday, 6th - 7th February 2018
Today, we are going to Baguio city. We are going
here to see flower festival and buy some souvenirs to our friends and family in
Indonesia. Actually, there is a lot of souvenirs and much cheaper than in
Alaminos city. We spend our time to shopping until we didn’t realize that the
time is over. We have to go back in our van and continue to go to the mansion.
We take picture together with others SEA-TEACHER and SEA-TVET. Not far from the mansion I buy a beverages look like Indonesian drink "dawet" but it is more sweeter than "dawet". It is called strawberry taho. I buy it PHP 30 or around IDR 9000.

Today we are going to farewell party as closing
ceremony of SEA-TEACHERS and SEA-TVET at lingayen. In the farewell party there are national anthem that we have to sing as follows; PSU hymn, Philippines hymn, Indonesia Raya hymn, Thailand hymn and Vietnam Hymne. And for all audience we have to sing ASEAN hymn. When I'm sing Indonesia Raya in Philippines I feel something that I can't explain.

At tondaligan beach we cook our food. I help them to taste the food they are cook haha... Also I help them to wash the fish and peel the leek that we will use. We make barbecue which is the ingredients are fish, chicken, leek, citrus for the smell good. I eat the fish with rice first after that I eat chicken with rice because if I eat fish and chicken together with rice I will feel gulu gulu.

Today at 8.00 a.m we attend flag ceremony. There are students from Pre-school, Secondary, High school, the PSU teachers and staff sing PSU hymn and Bayambang hymn. After that we have to introduce ourself in front of the students, PSU Teachers.

Today we are going to bolinao so we have to wake up early at 4:00 a.m to get ready because it will be have a long time for us. SEA T-Vet also joining this activities. In Bolinao some of us plant mangroves in the fields followed by lunch together. After that we go to Patar white beach, we enjoy our time here some of us play white sand and some of us take a selfie or groovie. Our holiday will be continue in the night time at Hundred Island, because today is night time I feel cool even in the outside. So I put my jacket and go out to buy some souvenirs but not much because mam Sally have been tell us about that.

Today
I teaching in Grade 7 hydrogen at 10 a.m, 7 helium at 11 a.m and grade
10 at 2 p.m. This is the last teaching practice. But not for grade 10,
I have to teaching practice again tommorow, because I don't feel have
any improvement. So I say thank you for their participation and
apologize about my mistake. For the photo session will be held on
tommorow at 10.00 a.m untill 12.00 p.m. I feel relieved but sad at the
same time.

They are so sweet they give me a hug and give me several message which is they create by theirself.
This is my last teaching for grade 10, before I go to teaching practice I go to the school for practicing with mam Cherry, she pretend to be the student. There are many fault that I have do, but mam Cherry give me how to do right. Luckily, In the last my teaching practice I did it. My voice finally louder than before.

There are some student-teacher who are still
teaching practice in school. There are students-teacher who are finish their
teaching practice. Unfortunately, today i’m not felling well there is a reason
of it. It is because when we have our dinner yesterday, I drink ice cola and after
that my head feel dizzy then get a cough and flu. So I stay at the dorm and
sometimes I wash the dishes and glass. Also sweep the floor, continuing my blog
even, there is no internet connection I can write at microsoft word on my
laptop and I have to finish my self-report, so I must work on it in time.

The first place that we visit is Museum of American Cemetery. The second place, we go to Jose Rizal monument. The third place we visit muslim town at Manila. There are many souvenirs here and veil, we walk around to and we find a mosque. Eventhough, for wudhu is little bit far from mosque itself.
We go back to Indonesia embassy around 5 p.m.
